For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020, the Indiana University Fort Wayne School of Nursing was able to offer a student service trip over spring break. IU Fort Wayne faculty and students planned a service trip to the Dominican Republic for March 4-11. The group invited the media to speak with them on Feb. 24 while they packed supplies for their trip on campus.
This trip is particularly meaningful, as the most recent trip in 2020 was canceled due to the pandemic. Fort Wayne TV station WFFT came out to observe the packing and speak with IU Fort Wayne Clinical Assistant Professor Maria Hines. The full story can be found here.
