Committed to Fort Wayne

We work with partners across the Fort Wayne region to make our communities stronger, help our neighbors stay healthier, and better prepare our workforce for the future. We believe that both IU Fort Wayne and the Fort Wayne community benefit when we work together.

Engaging in K-12 education

IU Fort Wayne offers programs geared toward helping local youth prepare for college and their future careers. These programs give local students the chance to spend time in a college setting, learn about different health careers, and meet current faculty, staff, and students. 

Career Explorer Club

The IU Fort Wayne Explorer Post is a co-educational opportunity in partnership with The Boy Scouts of America. Students learn directly from health professionals about the many careers in the healthcare field.

Health Professions Academy

The Health Professions Academy was created as a partnership between IU Fort Wayne and Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne as a way to educate high school students on careers in healthcare.
