The Health Professions Academy was created as a partnership between IU Fort Wayne and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne to educate high school and middle school students on careers in healthcare. Sessions involve hands-on activities with IU Fort Wayne faculty and students providing instruction and introduction to the health professions.

Now registering for the IU Fort Wayne Health Professions Summer Camp

IU Fort Wayne and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne invite you to join us for the 2024 IU Fort Wayne Health Professions Summer Camp from June 24-27. Students will have the chance to explore careers in healthcare in a fun and interactive environment.

Participate in a variety of hands-on learning activities using the same labs and equipment our students use
Explore the different degree pathways for health careers
Find out what college is like from current students, faculty, and staff
Learn about the college application process and how to pay for college
Discover what it takes to become a doctor, nurse, ultrasound technologist, dental hygienist, and more!

The Boys & Girls Club will provide transportation to and from IU Fort Wayne. Participants will be picked up and dropped off at the Boys & Girls Club each day, or they may arrange their own transportation to campus.

Students will be notified of acceptance by Friday, June 7
