Biography

Dr. Joshua Wenning is the Executive Director of the Region 8 Education Service Center as well as the K-12 Education Specialist for Elevatus Architecture. He is a career K-12 educator having taught Social Studies in Indiana and Michigan before moving into administration. 

During his professional career, Dr. Wenning has been a classroom teacher, coach, principal, and central office administrator before coming to Region 8 in 2012. He earned a B.S. in Secondary Education from Indiana University (Bloomington), a M.Ed. from Indiana Wesleyan University, a M.A. from Michigan State University, and his Ph.D. in Global Leadership from Indiana Tech.

He is Rotarian and has been president of his clubs in Decatur, IN as well as Fort Wayne (Summit City South). He is also the Co-Chair of ESCRFT, a school insurance trust that supports schools across the State of Indiana.

In his spare time Dr. Wenning is an official for basketball, volleyball and lacrosse.  His wife Holly is an educator in Southwest Allen County Schools and together they have four sons.
