Biography
State Sen. Liz Brown has served Hoosiers since 2014 as a member of the State Senate. She represents Senate District 15, which includes portions of Allen County.
Brown serves as Assistant Majority Floor Leader, Communications, and is chair of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and serves as a member of the Senate Committees on Appropriations; Corrections and Criminal Law; Ethics; and Health and Provider Services. She is also a member of the Senate School Funding Subcommittee and advisory member to the Distressed Unit Appeals Board.
Outside of the General Assembly, Brown is the legislative representative on the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership’s Regional Opportunities Council and has served on the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Board since 2016.
Brown holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa. Brown and her husband, Steve, reside in Fort Wayne. They are the proud parents of seven children and have three grandchildren, two cats named Walker and Texas Ranger, and two dogs named Corby and Minnie.
