With a new academic year underway, Indiana University Fort Wayne announces continued growth as it strengthens and amplifies its mission of developing the next generation of health professionals. The university celebrates a 5.5% increase in undergraduate enrollment for the Fall 2025 semester – a total of 1,091 students. 

The university persists in demonstrating a strong focus on the health professions, with growth across a number of schools, including the School of Dentistry, the School of Medicine and the School of Nursing.

IU Fort Wayne Assistant Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management and Operations David Chappell said, “IU Fort Wayne’s growth shows that our programs are in demand and our students are interested in pursuing important healthcare roles in our community upon graduation. We will continue to add and develop programs that benefit students and fit our mission.”

IU Fort Wayne is the only university in Northeast Indiana with a singular mission to educate and develop highly qualified health professionals for high-demand roles through exceptional and inclusive educational opportunities, with an organizational focus on health equity.
