As a dedicated global health professional, I bring a unique blend of research and teaching experience to the classroom. After completing my B.A. at Davidson College, I was a two-year Fulbright grantee in Colombia where I taught university-level English as a foreign language. In 2021, I began my MSc in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where I researched and wrote my dissertation on the barriers to cervical cancer screening uptake among women in Colombia. After completing my MSc, I worked as a Researcher at the International Center for Medical Training and Research (CIDEIM) and Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI) based in Cali, Colombia where I collaborated on community-based studies related to health equity and disparities and developed and conducted public health training workshops. After six years in Colombia, I am excited about returning home to Indianapolis. As an instructor as FSPH, I look forward facilitating a diverse, inclusive learning environment and am enthusiastic about contributing to the academic and personal growth and success of IU Indianapolis students.
