We are here to help you navigate the process of finding and applying for any of these types of financial aid. In most cases, your first step for aid consideration is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). When you submit your FAFSA, you’ll be considered for various state and federal financial aid programs, including grants, work-study positions, and loans.
Some admission-based scholarships are based on need, so complete the FAFSA when available on October 1* for the fullest consideration.
*The 2025-2026 FAFSA will be available in December.
Important dates
The FAFSA is available in October* each year, and the priority deadline for submitting it is April 15. Be sure to use IU Fort Wayne's school code, which is E40457!
