- General Purpose: Creating multimedia presentations and developing content management strategy to maintain a social media presence for IU Fort Wayne and the department. This position will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience working and collaborating with others in a professional environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as creative consultant to the department of Enrollment Management by managing social media outlets and content development (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).
- Create and integrate multimedia content throughout social media strategy, including photo and video production.
- Integrate appropriate social media and multimedia products into existing website presence. Assist with the review, enhancement, and development of the campus website and unit pages.
- Develop and integrate content management strategy and content calendar into overall instructional guide for social media management incorporating best practices to market services.
- Maintain and update content (photos, videos, status posts, etc.) on all social media outlets while building social media fan/follower base from target populations (students, employers, faculty/staff, etc.).
- Design and deliver updates on social media management to campus staff including: analytics/evaluation of effective content, proposals for enhancing current social media strategy and/or adopting new outlets, and overall creative recommendations for future management of social media as part of the overall departmental strategy.

Required Qualifications:

General Purpose:
Under the supervision and guidance of the director, our student office support associates are an integral part of IU Fort Wayne enrollment management operations. Student office support associates provide excellent customer service and contribute to the success of the department through welcoming all guests and connecting them with the most appropriate resources, while providing general office support services and aiding with student focused initiatives. This position will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience working and collaborating with others in a professional environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Providing a workplace that fosters and challenges its student staff to learn in line with these outcomes will ideally enhance the college experience of each student. We aim to provide guidance in developing these outcomes that are transferable after the college experience. Below is a summary of the job duties/ responsibilities for the Student Office Support position.
- 50% Respond to in-person and phone guests by answering general questions from students, faculty, staff, and community members; direct guests/calls to appropriate staff; check and respond to emails in the departmental account
- 20% Support photocopying, mailings, distribution of marketing materials, fliers and e-communication for enrollment operations and special events and programs; organize and update departmental files.
- 10% Assist with the creation and stocking of marketing materials for department and events.
- 10% Develop and maintain the departmental and student employee manual; maintain, revise and develop new departmental operational resources.
- 5% Assist department staff with general administrative duties including information requests from staff, community and campus partners.
- 5% Complete additional duties as assigned.

- Position Title: Mascot/Handler Team Member

General Purpose: Serves as the official goodwill ambassador for IU Fort Wayne by promoting school spirit, student/faculty/staff engagement, community connections, and building awareness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet attendees as the IU Fort Wayne Mascot or Handler at campus events and community functions
- Appears at community outreach and charity events sponsored or supported by the university
- Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including body language/mannerisms, attitude, interaction, and university representation.
- Participates in the filming of commercials, promotional videos, and photo campaigns
- Takes care of the costume and props when in your possession
- May require occasional weekend and evening commitments
- Serves in a rotation as a Mascot Handler
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess an outgoing personality with the ability to provide excellent customer service and positive, respectful interaction with students, staff, and members of the community, including children of all ages
- Able to assume the character of the Mascot/Handler as outlined by IU Fort Wayne
- Be in good physical condition to wear a costume, stand and walk and be active for extended periods of time
- Ideal height for correct costume fit would be between 5’6” and 6’0”.

- 50% Support student learning related to Medical Imaging lab activities; assist students in practicing equipment skills and imaging procedures, patient care techniques, and body mechanics.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, individuals are frequently required to stand of move around, to move and manipulate imaging and patient care equipment, and assist with moving and lifting people or imaging phantoms as would be required in a clinical setting.
Work Environment:
This work is performed primarily in the medical imaging labs and classrooms.
Tools and Equipment Used:
Imaging equipment, patient care equipment, computers, iPads, books, academic lesson plans and content handouts, paper, pencils, pens, markers, and whiteboards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively in person and via email.
- Able to work 2-6 hours per week. Sessions will be based on your availability and class schedule for the other cohorts and may be during the day, evening or weekends.
- Tutor students in both the traditional and accelerated BSN tracks.
- Convey information to individuals or to groups of students (review content, help with time management, study aids, using resources like ATI).
- Keep records of tutoring sessions for upload into Canvas site.
- Demonstrate patience and empathy.
- Collaborate with Instructors on how to assist students who need help in a course or courses.
- Work independently or with another tutor to ensure coverage for scheduled tutoring sessions.

- Must have received a minimum of B+ in all Nursing coursework and have an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Note: There is no tutoring on holidays or IU official breaks (fall break, Thanksgiving week, semester break etc.). Tutors do not receive vacation pay and are not paid if no tutoring session is held.
