SEOG program grants
You may be eligible for a Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) if you:
- Are an undergraduate student pursuing your first bachelor’s degree
- Have exceptional financial need (an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $0)
Federal regulations give SEOG priority to students receiving Federal Pell Grants.
How does it work?
All you need to do is submit your FAFSA each year.
IU Fort Wayne receives a certain amount of SEOG funds each year from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Federal Student Aid. Once the full amount of IU Fort Wayne’s SEOG funds has been awarded to students, no more SEOG awards can be made for that year.
If you may be eligible for a SEOG, you should submit your FAFSA as early as possible each year for a greater chance of receiving SEOG funds.
