IU Fort Wayne scholarships

Indiana University Fort Wayne offers a variety of scholarship opportunities for incoming and enrolled students.

By Title IV rules, we include the scholarships you receive when we calculate how much need-based aid you’re eligible for. As long as we’ve received your scholarship funds from your donor by the deadline, any adjustments to your financial aid will be made before your bill is due.

Award: $500

Criteria:

Students who have encountered unforeseen financial hardship

Renewal requirements: This award is not renewable

Deadline: Priority date: November 30

Award: $10,000 ($2,500 annually for 4 years*)

Criteria:

Incoming freshmen enrolled full-time
Minimum high school GPA of 3.0
Preference: Students with financial need

Renewal requirements*: Students need to meet satisfactory academic progress

Level One

Award: $32,000 ($8,000 annually for 4 years*)

Criteria:

High school GPA of 4.0 or above
Incoming freshmen enrolled full-time

Renewal requirements*: Maintain an IU Fort Wayne GPA of 3.0 or higher and enrolled full-time

Priority date: November 30

Level Two

Award: $16,000 ($4,000 annually for 4 years*)

Criteria:

High school GPA of 3.75 or above
Incoming freshmen enrolled full-time

Renewal requirements*: Maintain an IU Fort Wayne GPA of 3.0 or higher and enrolled full-time

Deadline: March 15

Level Three

Award: $8,000 ($2,000 annually for 4 years*)

Criteria:

High school GPA of 3.5 or above
Incoming freshmen enrolled full-time

Renewal requirements*: Maintain an IU Fort Wayne GPA of 3.0 or higher and enrolled full-time

Deadline: March 15

Note: Each award level is limited and will be awarded by earliest date of the completed admissions application. If qualified, you will be awarded the next highest available level.

Award: $8,000 ($2,000 annually for 4 years*)

Criteria:

Current IU Fort Wayne junior or senior
IU GPA of 3.5 or higher
Annual unmet need of at least $10,000

Renewal requirements*: Maintain an IU Fort Wayne GPA of 3.0 or higher and enrolled full-time

Annualized unmet need of $5,000

Renewal requirements*: Maintain an IU Fort Wayne GPA of 3.0 or higher and enrolled full-time

Award: $2,000 ($1,000 annually for 2 years)

Criteria:

Incoming transfer student from another college or university outside the IU system
Minimum 3.0 college cumulative GPA
Minimum 26 credit hours completed
Enrolled full-time and degree-seeking at IU Fort Wayne

Renewal requirements: There are no renewal requirements

Deadline: Apply to IU Fort Wayne by June 1

How to apply: There is no application required. This scholarship is automatically awarded to qualified students at the time of admission.

Award: $2,000 ($500 annually for 4 years*)

Criteria:

Non-traditional student
Individuals enrolled in a degree program age 25 and older
Preference: Student needs and merit

Renewal requirements*: Students need to meet satisfactory academic progress

Deadline:

Priority date: November 30
