Dental technology degree requirements and curriculum

To earn an IU Bachelor of Science in Dental Technology, you must complete 120 credit hours of coursework. You can use Indiana University's iGPS tool to explore the degree requirements, plan your coursework, and monitor your progress toward your degree.

Dental technology tracks

Healthcare Administration

The healthcare administration track gives you the opportunity to learn about the broader health care system and the business aspects that go into care delivery.

Pre-dentistry

Students who plan on going on to Dental School should select the Pre-Dentistry Track. Students will focus on completing dental school prerequisites along with the dental technology courses.

Associate of Science in Dental Technology

The Associate of Science in Dental Technology allows you to earn an accredited degree in dental technology that qualifies you to become a Dental Technician in two years.

Academic advising

As a dental technology student at IU Fort Wayne, you'll work closely with your academic advisor to prepare for admission into the dental technology program. You and your advisor will track your progress to ensure you are on the right track for graduation.
