As an incoming freshman to IU Fort Wayne you’ll be eligible for direct admission to the School of Health & Human Sciences if all the following conditions are met.

• You were admitted to IU Fort Wayne.
• On your admissions application, you indicated Health Sciences as your intended major.
• You earned a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.45 on a 4.0 scale OR a 3.0 with an academic honors diploma or equivalent. 

You can join the School of Health and Human Sciences as a transfer student from either another institution or another IU campus. To be eligible for direct admission into the school all the following conditions must be met.

• You were admitted to IU Fort Wayne.
• On your admissions application, you indicated Health Sciences as your intended major.
• You have a cumulative college-level grade point average of at least 2.5

If you don’t qualify for direct admission to our school you can still be admitted to IU Fort Wayne as a pre-Health Sciences major. You’ll be able to take classes for your intended major and then be admitted into School of Health and Human Sciences as an IU Fort Wayne student applicant when those admission standards are reached.

Getting formally admitted into the school and the program of Health Sciences is easy. You will work with your advisor to ensure you meet the criteria for admission to the school. Your advisor will track your progress and recommend you for admission to the school once you qualify. You do not need to apply or submit an application. The criteria for admission are:

• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
• Earn 12 credits from IU Fort Wayne
• Declared as an IU Fort Wayne pre-health sciences major
